° ° BIRD DESCRIPTORS ° ° Homework #1
Rewrite this passage replacing the underlined words with more interesting alternatives:
The day before yesterday was a fantastic day. Down by the beautiful stream, a pretty bird sat singing increible. The great sun was shining in the blue sky. “Oh, how nicely to have such a wonderful morning all to myself,” I thought.
Then, a ugly bird come along. From the shape of its dark wings and its horrible legs I knew it arrive whit sad news. It carried a horrorific purse over its wing. “Who knows what unsafe things it had inside?” I thought.
The amazing bird soon stopped singing increible, and flew away quickly. I should have done the same. The mystic bird flew and landed near me. Even though it was a old bird, it was precious to have a friend. I took the mystic object off his wing and contained mysterious sentences. It said, “negative adjectives make for intimidating writing. You had better select the most convenient option.” That meant, I knew, I had to do some work.

° ° MARCH ° ° The people's voice
The last 4th of February around the world there was huge march against FARC, who are terrorist and kidnappers. The protest was a tool for the public to put a voice in opposition to this terrorist organization and force them to realize the kidnapped.The march began at 10:00 am with a sunny day and started at Sabana’s parking lot. All the faculties went out and joined their voices claiming the peace for Colombia. Along the way different institutions united to the march to make their voice louder and reunited all parts of society for the same purpose.
Hundreds of thousands of white flags, t-shirts and posters were the central character of this protest. They were used as messages of piece and hope. Many others proudly carried Colombian flags as a sign of patriotism.
After long ours of walk the people arrived to the Chia’s Central Park to sing along Colombian anthem and the Mayor said some encouraging words to the Colombian people to fight and resist against this evil force.
